lr lighting

hey,
well i am sure that some one fo remember my tank i set up and cycled with a false tank raised clown. anyway, he is doing fine and my tank is through the cycle with no problems. i did have some lava rock inthe tank, and it was about 30-45 lbs. i was told me my lfs that i should have take it out before i put it in. so i took all of it out, and now the tank is blank, and i am in the process of getting some lr. i just wanted to know what type of lighting would be best. i have a 50/50 bulb, that has the ballest end-caps, and a glass canopy btwn the tank and the light. any help on lighting would be good. thanks

Your lighting is fine for Fish and probably ok for Live Rock as they don't need any special lighting.
You will need to upgrade in the future if you intend to keep corals etc.

thanks for the info. i am not really planning on having a reef tank so hopefully the live rock will, be just that with out it, i don't have the time or money for a reef tank to provide the proper care. again , thank you
