I don't see a powerhead.....I would get one, and it may help spread the coraline. I don't see any die-off, so that's good. The powerheads size depends on what will be in the tank? Also, don't let the dead barnacles collect waste. I've seen some nasty stuff dumped out of barnacles after being in a tank for awhile....I had some like yours when I started out.......I have since removed them from use. The bubble thing may not be the best idea for saltwater........doesn't it pop salt all over the place as the bubbles pop.
Yes - I thought the airstone might go. I do need a powerhead. I need better lights. And I was thinking of LS instead of the quickrete I just put in there. So - lots of changes coming..
I'm learning..
I would not woory about the lack of growth on your lr.I bought 65 lbs about a year ago. When I first got it I noticed a few feather dusters. I recently moved the rock into a new tank, and the growth is unreal. feather dusters, a few small starfish, and a small bristle worm. your rock looks fine to me, good luck
Are you saying replace the whole light fixture or just the bulb?
rickycobra...call me stupid, but are you saying that after time - out of this rock, things like featherdusters, starfish, or other things will (might) just appear, grow?
it happened to me that way to. One day nothing and then i look closer and its about 10 anemones. I dont know if they are Apastia(sp?) or not but one has a pink bottom so i think its some kind of condi. A Sponge came up out of no where too.
Water, fish, crabs are 3 months old. I tore apart tank to replace cc with sand last weekend. This is the Quickrete at HD - sand used for sandblasting. Experimenting I guess.. But I cleaned tank when I replaced cc, thats why so clean... kept most of the water though.. been doing water changes every 2 weeks.
I don't think I'm going to worry about this too much, but where do I get a light setup with higher wattage and different bulbs for a small 10 gal like this?
