what is the best way to cure live rock i've been curing for about 1 week now and the ammonia level is not going down i don't want to prematurely put it in my tank and kill my fish
If there is some dead material or animals on it you may want to pull it out and brush or scrape it off. This will cut down on your curing time. But the rock goes through the same cycle as your tank has too so the time frame may take a few weeks.
