LR question

I have an excellent growth of corraline in my 50. However, I want to add some more LR. I only have two fish, a few snails, and some hermits. Will the introduction of more LR kill off the corraline? What do I need to do to preserve it?

Be sure the rock is fully cured before adding it to an established tank (shipping cured rock "uncures" it and will have to be cured again)
As you place rock on top of existing rock you will kill what's under the new rock. In addition, change in light penetration and current may affect current inhabitants.
