Whats the difference between cured and uncured LR? and what should i get when starting my 55gal FOWLR tank?

cured has no dead matter on the rock. Uncured has a lot of dead matter and causes a horrible stench. Lots of people buy uncured (cheaper) then cure it (2-3 weeks) in a trashcan with SW. I would say buy alot of cured, and a piece or two of unured to start the cycle. Make sure they are small pieces so the cycle doesnt last forever. Good luck!
