LS mix with regular sand

hi guys,im kinda newbie and i have few questions...i have a freshwater tank 50G and a 24g aquapod saltwater so i was thinking on changing tanks SW on bigger tank and FW on smaller tank...so my question is,since im gonna need alot more of LS for the bigger tank can i just buy couple bags of LS and mix it with regular sand,will the bacteria on the LS will take over the regular sand?

yes, people do this all the time. try to avoid silicate based sand, but you should be able to get some playsand from home depot

Yes a very good idea for saving money

LS costs almost double of a bag of agornite sand. Id go 1/3 LS and 2/3 Agornite.
