LTA and foot planting...

How long does it take an LTA to plant it's foot. I read that they like to plant their foot in the sandbed, I was just curious how long they usually go before they decide to plant their foot.

Thanks for the reply Michael. Mine was stuck between the side of the tank and a rock, but I moved it. I guess I shouldn't have done this. I know that a BTA likes to plant it's foot in a hole in the rock, because I have had one of these in my main tank. This is the first time I have had an LTA. I have no corals in this tank, just two rocks and an exta-fine deep sandbed. It looks really healthy, I guess it hasn't found a spot that it likes yet. I should be patient.

I just looked and my LTA is back between the rock and the glass like before. I am going to just leave him there this time. Maybe he needs the rock to hold him upright because of the current in the tank, who knows. I just figure that since he is back there, it must mean that is where he wants to be, and maybe now he'll pant his foot if I just leave him alone. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I just got my new LTA yesterday. How long should I wait to feed him?
