LTA Dieing?

Hello all..
This is my first post and want to start by thanking everyone for shareing info. This has been a great place for me to learn. I am fairly new to keeping a Salt water Aquarium.
I resently got a LTA and it seemed to be doing great. The other day, while I was at work, it climbed up to where on of my powerheads are and got sucked in the grate. It looked terrible and I was sure it was a done. I removed the grate but the anenome was about half pulled through. I decided to let it try and pull itself out. It has removed itself from the grate to my amazement and has even reinflated a few tenticals. It looks like half of it is completely shredded. Is this a hopeless cause? Does it have any chance of recovery and is there anything I can do to help? Thanks again.

had this happen to me awile back, you did the best thing by letting him get out by himself :jumping: :jumping: now he has to heal , thereis not much you can do to fix him give him a few days if he looks the same and no worse try to feed him small pieces of shrimp or krill,or other meaty food.Keep checking your water parameters to make shure that he is not fouling your water. Mine is healthy as ever it took about a month before he looked really good again. And get covers for those powerheads asap.Good Luck and Welcome to the boards :cheer: :cheer:

Thx greatly. I went out and bought a sponge last night and cut it down to fit over the intake. Thx for the hope. I really like the LTA and I have a Clarkii that is really trying to help it recover.....
