LTA vs. BTA

Im deciding between these two for my 14 biocube with jbj viper 150 mh. I plan on having 2 ocellaris clowns and i want to hear everyones opinions on the two.
Thank you!

A bta would probably be okay for a little while in this size aquarium. An LTA would get way too big for this tank though. It only took my LTA 6 months to go from a 3" oral disc to a 18" oral disc. That size not counting its tentacles. I think there is a better chance of getting an percula to have a symbiotic relationship with a bta than an ocellaris. An ocellaris will eventually accept a bta as a host but it might take a long time. What is really an important question. Is your tank mature enough to handle a bioload of an anemone?

Hmm yeah i know the bta isnt a natural host for the occ. Is it a natural host for a perc? And no the tank is not mature enough right now, gona give it another 2 months or so.
Nothing wrong with planning ahead, right?

I was just suggesting a percula because they tend to use more than just anemones as a host. With your tank being small you could use corals as a host substitute. Yeah btas are not the natural host for a percula either but they don't seem to be as picky as ocellaris. I remember how picky my ocellaris were. I tried several anemones and every time they chose the sand as a host. They showed no interest in the anemones I put in the tank. That is very frustrating.

BTA will be hosted by clarks, tomatos and ocellaris
LTA will be hosted by clarks, maroons, skunks and saddlebacks

I had a LTA for a while before I had lighting issues, it was such a hardy little fighter, spent like 3 months with no light. It was weird because it only died after I fixed the light....I cried for it....Nemo did too
It was almost too easy to take care of and I had no experience, I know I wasn't the best caretaker but somehow it was thriving up until the light failed. I fed it a piece of shrimp the size of my thumbnail about once a week and it doubled in size but it didn't come close to outgrowing my tank. And while I'm sure it'll outrage everyone, I'll admit to hardly ever doing water changes or checking the parameters. I have a 24g nano and I had 1 ocellaris (Nemo), 1 neon goby, and a massive cleaner shrimp along with the LTA. It bedded down in the back right corner and stayed there.
I recently purchased a BTA that was huge (I don't know what I was thinking and took it back 2 days after I got it). But I had a completely different experience with that. First it spent the whole night rolling around my tank like tumbleweed and always seemed to land itself face-first into my frickin' mushrooms. It took up the entire back corner when I placed it there to get it out of the way in decent space. It expanded to a massive size de-homing poor Lenny the Blenny. He bullied is way into Goby's home and I couldn't find Goby for several hours which had me in a complete panic. I bagged the anemone and returned it the next day.
Thats just my experience
