Lumpy Porcupine puffer

We have a porcupine puffer that has two large lumps in his lower stomach. He eats well and swims around. He acts like there is nothing wrong, but the lumps are quite large. Has anyone heard of that before?
Thanks

Do the lumps go away or are they there all the time? My Porcupine Puffer gets those too after he eats.....it is like a snake - gets a lump in thier tummy until they digest the food.

Could be air trapped inside. Has he been out of water recently? You could always reach in to the tank and gently cause him to inflate and then let him deflate again.

mine gets that after he eats sometimes. He gets a little excited sometimes and swallows a puff of air when he poked his head out of the water. Its most likely air in his stomach. Search for burping puffers and you should be able to find out the procedure for fixing the problem. Although mine usually does it himself so i dont have to worry about it too much.
