In my post below I asked a question pertaining to the best treatment for Ich. I think I may have misdiagonsed Ich. I did some additional research on the net and found a site that discussed lymphocystis often being confused for Ich. Based on the description they gave, "frequently appears on teh edges of fins and occasionally on the body as cauliflower or cotton like nodules. The nodules are considerably larger than Cryptocaryon, usually 1/8 inch in diameter or larger. Except in extreme cases, the nodules usually do not number more than 6-10." This sounds more like what I see. The fish has larger sized white spots or nodules but they are only on the fins. Also, I haven't noticed any of the scratching or rapid breathing I think is often associated with Ich. Any additional info. that someone can provide about this diagnosis would be helpful. Also the site said that the treatment is just to let the nodules fall off on there own and that it is not contagious or destructive.
