lymphocytis

I'm pretty sure my occelaris clown has lymph. He has this big caulifower fuzz ball above his left fin. It's been there for about a week and has grown a small amount. I have one other clown and a royal gramma in the main tank with him along with 2 cleaner shrimps, 2 peppermints, about 15 snails and 8 hermits and a few hitch hikers (after 2 months I am still finding more and more). I had just been feeding them flakes so two nights ago I went out and bought frozen mysis shrimp and marine cuisine. I used have half an oz of the mysis, and about 1.75 oz of the marine cuisine and processed it with 2 large cloves of garlic that I roasted then minced. I froze the batch and have been feeding 2-3 times a day. They have had 5 meals of this concoction so far. There is nothing in the sticky about how to cure lymph, most people just say it goes away on it's own, but is there anything else I can do besides just feeding garlic soaked food? Can I add zoecon to this mixture?

I use a similar mix and I add zoe and zoecon per the instructions on the bottle. My clown's lymph went away in about 5 weeks. I am not saying the mix or zoe made it go away, it may have been time only. However, I think good food and a stress free environment are bound to help.

Roasting the garlic will pretty much make it ineffective. With garlic supplement what you need is the garlic juices from the minced pieces. Fresh garlic juice.
What are the conditions in your aquarium? And how is the fish doing aside from this blemish?
Lymph is a viral infection similiar in behavior to the herbes simplex virus that humans get [cold sores or fever blisters]. Improve diet, living environment, etc., increase immune system, the the problem should come under control.

How does roasting the garlic for a few minutes make it ineffective? It becomes really juicy that way... The fish is doing fine, he is eating and swimming normal and hasn't passed the virus to either of the other fish. I think my royal gramma has a slight case of ich, but it is hard to tell because he's always moving around so fast. His tail just looks a tiny bit chewed up and he scratches against things a lot. Am and Nitrites are at 0 as of last night and Nitrate is very close to zero, less than 5. SG is at 1.026.
So how do I get just the juices out of the garlic if roasting makes it ineffective..? And should I go ahead and add zoecon to the food?
