Anymore Dottyback luvers here? I have the female steenei right now - her name is Morticia Ha-ha and she lives in a 37gal tank that she rules. Once I find a male I'm getting a larger tank. It'll be awesome if I can get the two sharing my little reef. :happyfish
If anyone knows where one is please don't hesitate posting. Plleeeaaasssssseeeee!!!!!!

It must be destiny because I already found a male!! YES
This is my plan so everybody please cross your fingers and toes, and spin around in a circle throwing salt over your right shoulder. :happyfish
I’m going to get a piece of plexiglas and drill holes it in to allow water flow. Then i’m going to divide my current tank in half. They are going to live this way until my house remodeling job is complete, then I will have a real saltwater tank to introduce them simultaneously.
I still haven’t decided on a size(?) Any recommendations how big you think I’ll need?? Or will anybody just wanna guess??

The photos are also in the Reef Fishes Series, Basslets, Dottybacks, & Hawkfishes. I would keep an eye @ this online store: http://reefhotspot.com/store/index.php?cPath=21_42 they don't appear to know the correct names. They are calling the Lyretail a Flamehead. This is the male I'm getting so I hope they are a good online store, I've never bought a fish online before. Personally I think he's WAY over price for a fish most people do NOT want. Well, except for me that is.

:cheer: My male Pseudochromis steenei (from here out will be referred to as Gomez & the female Lyretail as Morticia) arrived Tuesday morning in great health w/ a good appetite. The one thing I didn't expect though was his size. Gomez is still a juvenile. I didn't know if this was a good tang or bad tang. Although my temporary (37 gallon) tank is divided in half using a 21" x 11" piece of plexiglas it was cut 1/4" shy. After the 1st day Gomez started venturing across testing the waters on Morticia's side of the reef and at that time I didn't think Morticia had the space to cross over. (she's a full adult) I was concerned but not any more because nature is dictating my next step. I guess even in fishy land boys will be boys and girls will be girls. It's been three days now and Gomez's boy curiosity and persistence has kept him on Morticias side of the tank most of today. And Morticia well it appears has fallen for his dashing good looks & charm because she is not chasing him away anymore, and has even found a back door to Gomez's side of the reef. So I guess that's that's that's all folks. Hell, and I thought this was going to be a long and drawn out process! :happyfish
For future reference for all you dottyback luvers the online fish store I bought Gomez from told me he was sharing a 90gal tank w/ a 7" Blonde Naso Tang & 6" Diana's Hogfish. You know, Gomez is only maybe 1.5"'s. Ha-ha :)
