Mag 7 Impeller question

My Mag 7 is making noise and needs a new impeller. I've had it for a few years and the replacement impellers I see online have black blades. My original had 3 white blades. The black ones look like they have 6. Did something change? Is this the right impeller?

You must be looking at the wrong impeller. I am looking at one and it has 3 blades. Replacement Impeller for Model 7 02517 or 02527 Part#: 12585

I don't know. It depends on what site I look at. Some show a white one with 3 blades, some show a black one with 3 blades and some show a black one with 6 blades. Could just be the wrong picture I guess. I know they have the Supreme Mag and a Pond version both called a Mag 7 so I was wondering if they had a different impeller.
Thanks for looking also.

Well, I got my info straight from my supplier catalog. Either way, thats the part number from the manufacture for the mag 7.

It's possible that the picture you are looking at is representative. Lots of times companies that sell similar parts will take a picture of one part and use it for many... like if they sell 5 different kinds of impellers for mags, they'll use a picture of one for a Mag 18 for all of them, etc. I know the Mag9.5 has 6 blades.
You may be able to call your vendor ask them to actually go look at one and tell you.

I beat you to it. But unfortunately they are closed. I also called the manufacture and they are closed as well.

Thanks guys. I did go to the manufactures web page and see the part number. I'll just order the thing. I'm sure I will get the right part and the picture is probably a stock one.
