well how big is your overflow? I bought a mag9.5 for my 75 and I'm using a 700GPH lifereef overflow, the problem is if I ran the pump at near capacity that made the overflow run very fast which created bubbles in the sump which got sucked up and turned into microbubbles in the main tank, to fix this I had to restrict the flow from the mag9.5 so now I'm probably going to replace the 9.5 with a mag7, I even had 3 baffles i the sump to combat bubbles but the water velocity sucked the bubbles through them anyway, so I'd say a mag9.5 would be ok if you have a large overflow like 1200-1400GPH to prevent bubbles, otherwise I'd say just go with a 700GPH overflow and a mag7, of course you're gonna wanna disperse the flow with either a spraybar, a SQWD or a sea swirl

I had the exact same problem with microbubbles and a Mag 9.5 in my sump (29 gal), If you have a big enough sump for the bubbles to disperse before being sucked up by your return then you can probably use one, but otherwise I would go with a mag 7 and something else for main tank circulation.
