ok everyone, i just bought a mag 1.9 used from a trusted LFS in atlanta. so i come back to nashville, and try out the pump, and it doesnt even get close to 190 GPH. how i know? i filled up my sink with tap water, and turned on the pump, and it couldnt even ripple the surface! it was completly submerged as well. i cleaned out the impeller and its still the same. i have had a mag 5 and 9.5 in the past, but this one just wont work. any suggestions on how i can get it to work?
thanks everyone.
EDIT: im getting the idea now that this is how powerful it might be. i have never used a pump smaller than 300 GPH. so, does it sound right that if i hold the nozzel that the water comes out of, right out of the water, the water only goes about .5 inch?
anyone with a pump around 150-200 GPH please reply.
thanks everyone.
