Mag Float Will It Scratch Acrylic

I have a huge Mag Float (the grey one) cleaning thing, to clean the inside, right know I put the inside part into a little sock looking thing so it would not scratch the acrylic, I was at a pet store today and they had the same one without the sock in an acrylic tank (it already had scratches though) anybody use these in acrylic tanks without scratching the inside???

Is there any particular reason why you are spamming forums and other such particularly abrasive behavior? Just wondering...

If it is not specificly desgined for acr, do not use it or you will be sorry. There is no diff in the price of an acr pad, so get the right tool for the job.

Mag Float just came out with a pad that will not scratch acryllic a few weeks ago. Get the model 360 cleaner for large tanks. It does a GREAT job. No scratches at all.

your tank will only get scrached if you get rocks or sand traped inbetween the two magnets just watch out when getting close the sand.
