Mag Pumps wont Work

This has happened to me before and I just gave up and repalced the pump, but I want to know if this has happened to anyone else. When I take them apart meaning to clean the inside once I put the magnetic spindle back in and place the cap back on I hear it spinning but it wont shoot out any water. Anyone know why this seems to happen they work fine until they get taken apart for cleaning?

Must be operator error. I've never had any problems with the 5 I've had. IMO these pumps get a bad rap from people as I've always found them to be extremely durable and reliable. I consider them to be more like a Timex, "takes a lickin and keeps on tickin"

The only thing I can think of is you are getting are trapped inside the pump and it is cavitating, after your put in the water try turning the pump so the intake is pointed up to release any air trapped inside of it before you plug it in.
