do you leave your magnet cleaner in all the time or pull it out....and why?

i leave it in, i see no reason to take it out.

no real reason in taking it out. the only thing that COULD go wrong with leaving it in is it getting covered in algae. if you do deside to keep it in the tank make sure after every couple of weeks you get all the algae off cleaning side of the magnet thats inside the tank. i left mine in for quite a while without cleaning it and it didnt work as good. now ever week i just scrub it dry when i do a water change.

I had a cheapo one once and I left it in and the megnets Rusted like crazy. it wasn't one of the sealed one's that float.

Why take it out? The whole reason for the magnetic cleaner is so hat you dont have to stick your hands in the tank, upsetting the fish.
By the way, I was told by one of my few dependable LFS that Magfloats are the only magnetic cleaners that float. No one else is allowed to manufacture mag cleaners that float because Magfloat has the patent on the floating design. There are other mag cleaners but only Magfloats float.

I leave mine in, but I do take it out every once in a while, but only to drop it in one of my other tanks to use!

I leave mine in, too much work to keep takin it out and putting it back in.

Yeah, I leave mine in too. It looks like I'll be running mine back and forth between my tanks for a while till I can find a suitable size one for my seahorse tank...that's okay, not far to go.

i always have alge on my glass
plus i'm to lazy to take it out and put it back in the next day

i leave it in, but my cleaning crew is doing a good job so i dont want to cause excess disturbance to my inhabitants to just get a tiny bit of algae off. ill use it when i have a lot
