Magnum H.O.T

I have had a magnum H.O.T for about 1 year and a half now and after cleaning it recently it started malfunctioning. It is not holding water in the canister even though i fill it up. It will be full for a matter of seconds and then let the water into the tank and run dry does anyone know what is wrong.

have you tried taking it apart and reassembling it? have you messed with or cleaned the impeller? is the intake plugged in any way?
