Magnum HOT filter

My HOT Magnum filter is extremely loud but is running how it should be, any way I can make it not so noisy?

I was looking at those on <a href="http://www.bigalsonline.com" target="_blank">www.bigalsonline.com</a> Do you have the 250? or the Pro? Does it do its job filtering? Look for what makes the sound, is it the motor, top piece, or something else?

Hi,
I have an older magnum, it is almost 2 years old now and finally the motor is starting to go out. Not too bad, 2 years of continuous service. The noise is probably the impellor cavetating ( sp.) Take the inside apart and clean the bell housing of the impellor and the slot the magnetic potion goes into. Are you also getting bubbles? If so that I am for sure that's what is happening.

I also have a HOT magnum filter, and had the same problem as you when I set mine up. Do what Josh said, thats what I did and the problem went away.
