Mail Ordering Fish

I've been contemplating ordering fish offline for some time now and I think I'm ready to make a decision. For those of you that have bought fish offline before, how has it worked out for you. I'm looking to get 5-9 fish ranging from clowns to angel to triggers and tangs. Is there anything I need to do special in order to have success? I'd like to hear your stories and any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanx!

I have ordered fish from the net before and they all were great. I hope you are not planning on putting all of these fish in one tank? You know the tang should go in the 70 right? Everyone I have talked to on this board had had good experiences with swf.com

I have purchased 95% of everything saltwater online. I've never tried this place, but hve used two other locations. I have had no problems, saved lots of money and am happy with the customer service I've recieved. Look for a "pool" type order so several people in your area can order at the same time to help save on the freight costs. Schedule yourself to be home the day of delivery so you can accliment them quickly. Follow directions in the box for the company on acclimenting them Order from a location that has a guarentee on arrive alive and stay alive for 5-6 days. Enjoy. vkesu@kc.rr.com email me if you have any questions. :)

we have only got a few fish and dleaners online, but have no horror stories to tell either, the only thing is, as mentioned make sure you are ther to recieve them, they hve already been in the bag @24 hrs, and if you can you may want to q them before adding them to your main tank, just in case, although they are often guarenteed, shipping can be stressful, thus ideal conditions for ick, better safe than sorry

i have nothing bad to say. When I bought fish from here, they died and the owner gave me credit for EACH fish. Very satisfied.
