maintanence for live rock?

I read different things everywhere... do i need special lighting? and should i "feed" them anything such as trace elements or? and how often?

Nope and nope. Live rock doesn't need anything special... the critters in the rock will get food from you feeding the fish and from debris. Coralline will grow better under medium lighting but will also do fine under lower lighting. Trace elements will be provided though water changes. No need to do anything else IMO.

ditto on the above but i feel its important to blow off your rock with a small powerhead now and then to help some of the crud get into the fliter system. i do it once every few months when i think about it .
