Makes for a nice frag rack hanger

These cost a bit but they are the perfect rack holder. There is no worry of bumping and moving the rack with these tough babies attatched. I like being able to move the racks for cleaning glass besides having the ability to add extra racks from small to large to the sides of tank.
Yes, costly for a rack magnet, but for the strength no matter how large a rack, it is worth it. Can also move toward and away from lighting with hanging racks.

JK good idea

Wish that were so. As FL risidents can attest, home coverage insurance policies have put us into the poor house. I just got a notice of cancellation unless I put a new roof on the house in 3 weeks. There is nothing wrong with the present roof and it even withstood winds in excess of 150mph during Ivan. It does look weathered though, but not even 12 years old. So no more buying for this old man. And with the cost of shingles nearly doubled in the last couple years, it is going to hurt. Will porobably be doing some ric and zoa packs real soon.
Wish I was one of the wealthy.

That stinks, but I'll try to do my part and help you out with those zoa packs when you are ready.

Appreciate that. I am hopeing I can sell a couple of my cars that are not any good to me and I don;t drive anymore and that will be a big plus toward the roof. I will still do a few zoa packs even if this does work out and clear a little out. Hopefully tomarrow eveing I will be a little more organized and have some pics.

I used to roof myself and I will get the shingles through the company I used to roof for and do it myself I am thinking. I will probably just do a lay over so should be able to do it for less than 3k. I just hope I am still up to it. Watching a reef tank all evening and talkiing to you all can make one lazy. lol

The cars are not much. In fact I sold one on Craigslist for $500 this morning. The van I am going to try and keep if I can sell some more odds and ends. I would be OK except the insurance is due also and that is why I was only given 25 days notice as it renews then. Can't get a break. Even got a ticket last night for failing to yeild. Over $100 for that one.

Not at all. 1200 square feet with a 23 square roof. Shingles are running about $100 a square for 35 year (min alowed in FL now) for dimentionals roofing co cost right now ,then coil nails, 30# felt and I have to pull out solar panels that were destryed in Ivan so replace decking. I hope $3000 will cover it all.

I have a full box of roofing nails I barely opened if you want them. :)

You are too kind. I am goign to go the easy route though and use a nail gun. You have to 6 nail every shingle here and I am afraid my poor ol elbows just couldn't hold up to nailing 23 square by hand anymore.

But I really do appreciate the offer though. It is people like you that keep humanity in good graces with its creator.

Besides this setup with the hanging racks, could you give some other rack ideas that make maintaining the livestock and tank easier?
My first racks, which I still use, I made 1/3 the depth of the tank x3 and the top most rack is the longest, the next rack not as long and the bottom rack even shorter than the middle so they could be slid under each other for bottom tank access. Course this is on a bare bottom tank.
Couldn't figure out how to do it for a SB bottom, which I think would probably be better as far as bacterial colinization. Maybe just an inch or so.
