Well, Ive been taking photos, but dont have any way at the moment of uploading them...
Ill give a brief run down of the tank setup so far, and mind you, this is over the last year, bit by bit
I got a used 40 gallon breeder with overflow and 38 gallon sump. Exactly what I was looking for. That sat for some time. When I got around to cleaning it, I noticed a crack in the glass of the main tank. totally bummed out. After lots more research, I bought a tank from pet world. It was one of the tanks they have for their own displays. It had 2 holes drilled in it. One on each side. One for drain, one for return. I cut out the old overflow(plexi-glass) from the cracked tank, scraped off the old silicone. Then I took a dremel to anywhere the silicone was, just to ensure it was all removed. I have yet to Silicone it into place in the new tank. I got all the plumbing and fit everything together that I could without having it 100% together (some needs to be in tank first). I also painted the back of the tank black. Looks very clean that way.
I got my hands on a Dual Satellite 36 inch. Im in the process of getting some powerheads. I still need a heater and protien skimmer. Im going to go with a Coralife Super Skimmer 65. Im not sure if I like the setup of the baffles in the sump/refuge. Ill see if I can post some pics later on.
I just came in from finishing up the stand. It was in bad shape. I brushed off the rust, sanded, primed and painted it. Looks great.
Well, getting closer. Its all starting to look amazing. Cant wait to fresh water test everything.
