i have a pair of false perc in a 12 gal, hosted by H.magnifica. they are 1.5 inch long, and the female is a aggresive eater. but the second day after i installed my MH, i noticed the male F.perc hide in the cave for a long time during light time, and not that aggresive on food. today, he spend all 7 hours in the cave and havent touch any food i put in the tank, and my cleaner shrimp show great intrest in him.
nothing special has appeared on the male clown, he just not that hyper and havent eat for 2 days.
anyone know what should i do? i tried the garlic extreme, female went berserk with food...but male still stay in the cave, or just look at the food but not eat it.

Id cut back on the light time & slowly have the lights on for longer. I think your clown's is a bit shocked from the new lights or, how many watts of MH are you running? How close is it to the water? I ask because it may be heating the water to much. Is your temp ok?
