How Can You Tell A Male From A Female Lion

As far as I know only fuzzy dwarf's can be sexed; it's by counting the number of stripes on their pectoral fins (4-6 is female, 8-12 is male) if I recall correctly.
I don't even know if the above information is factual, but I've read it a few times at some places.

yeah thats the way to on fuzzys...i dont believe there is any way to on other lions but someone correct me if im wrong

I would have to think so. Many major SW books also confirm that that is how one would --- them.
