Man Made Rock vs Live rock

yup. most of the rock you see from fiji are manmade then placed in the ocean to seed it. i know for sure mine is manmade. if youre talking about home made live rock, it should grow all that stuff too, in about 6 months youll notice it

it's very much more reef friendly to make your own, especially since you won't know the difference months from now. plus, you can make the rock however you like, in whatever shapes, etc.

You sure about that? I hadn't heard of any rock farming going on in Fiji. That's interesting.
The rock that comes out of the Caribbean (Florida) is grown. It's mined then dropped into zones to be harvested later.

yeah, theres a website where some guy is dedicated to doing this and has a business there. they put the rock on like lines or soemthing and leave them out there.
i dont know if it was exactly fiji but i know he setup shop someone overseas because he didnt like the idea of companies exploiting reefs, also helps out the locals with work

that F--h Place sells fiji cultured rock i saw it in lancaster pa on sunday looked like the typical (not a perfect one but every piece had a hole in the center)donut shape but had great life on it. the drs also sell fiji cultured
