I have a 125 with probably 160 gallons of water and 300lbs LR. I have a mandarin and am wondering if I added a sandsifting goby (golden headed sleeper/diamondback), would they be both flourish? Opinions...

Me personally, I LOVE sand sifting gobies, they keep my sand bed sparkling and aerated,, Just the tops. So interesting to watch and have so much personality. Some people do not like gobies claim that they eat beneficial things in the sand. I think they will both flourish in a 125 with 300lbs of established LR.. Good for you.. p.s Im assuming you have some kind of refugium or sump because you have 160g of water..

I'm one of those people who thinks sand sifting gobies will eat beneficial fauna in a sand bed.I don't like how they dump sand on the corals either.I think your system is large enough and you have enough live rock to support both. That is if your tank is 8 months old or older.

As you already heard, they will be fine together in your tank. In a smaller tank I would say no, but you have enough resources for both of them
