Mandarin and scooter blenny

I assume these 2 fish will not do well together because how similar they are but I thought I'd ask just in case others have had success...

Any opinions?

You can keep them together w no issues provided you have enough food for them. Meaning pods, unless there eating frozen foods.

Cool thanks jay...it's funny I bought Copepods and amphipods like 6 months ago...I believe that's what the pods are....anyways I've had my fish in QT for 3 months now from an ich issue...now when I look in my tank I don't see any of the real small Copepods but instead thousands of the bigger ones which I believe are the amphipods? Anyways I have plenty of pods for the fish but I'm wondering...because of no fish in the tank have the Copepods grown bigger or have my amphipods killed them off? Lol just wondering and thanks again

The smaller are prob there just hard to see. Since you have an established qt I would use it to try and train the new fish to eat frozen.

Ok is there any advice on "training" them? I guess i dont know exactly what u mean besides sticking them in the QT and hoping they eat frozen?

Its easiest if there the only fish in the tank. No competition. In my experience most will eat frozen if given time. You need healthy fish to start tho. If there bellys are sunken or they look thin its generally too late. These are one of few fish I will buy rt when they arrive at a lfs. Most just don't keep them in ideal conditions to thrive.
Now to the fish themselves, male mandys have a high dorsal fin. Scooters a large flag like dorsal. Don't mix males of the same kind. I keep mine paired or one male w a few females. Do not mix spotted mandys with green mandys. Spotted are very aggressive w other mandarin. Fine w scooters tho

Frozen foods. Start w brine I use spirulina. Then mysis, ect . Prawn roe is the best but hard to find lately

Yeah I only plan on one mandy and one scooter which I suppose might work out nicely in a QT together just the two of them...thanks again for your help
