Mandarin Dragonet Food

Will Mandarin Dragonets only eat pods or can you get them eating brine shrimp or mysids or something? I have heard rumors that they are really hard to keep because of their dietary needs. Thank you.

The rumors you heard are correct. It happens but it is very rare to find one that will eat prepared foods. If you are intent on getting one, have the guy at the LFS offer it food if it won't eat and you do not have enough pods and critters in your LR and LS to sustain it, it will die.
