I am very interested in these fish. Do you think it would be compatible with a lionfish and puffer? Which ones would it be compatible with and which ones wouldnt it be compatible with?
What about all these and a snowflake eel ... i dont want anybody to get stressed or be an expensive meal.
Thanks

Mandarinfish are dragonettes and are often called gobies. In your set-up I wuld advise you to add a dragonette only when you win the lottery and have money to burn. While dragonettes have a thick bad tasteting body slime I have seen fish eat one spit it out and then do the dame thing again and again. Fish just don't learn that they taste bad. As for a snowflake eel there are two problems. Depending on the type of puffer it will pick at the eel until it dies. And two your lionfishes depending on the type will get large enough to suck it down like a long noodle. If you want to add more fish stick with larger fish that can defend themselves (e.g. tangs, angels, and wrasses)

LionFish says......
All I can say is that I have kept lions for 7 years and would never even think about getting one of the little guys. Not only are they too small and too defenseless against predators like lions and eels but they could actually do harm too your fish if they do decide to rip a peice of it off the little guy they could be poisoned and die. Honestly, these are fish you should take your mind off if you have aggressive fish. Anyways youu need a very mature tank with lots of copepods which I doubt you have. Just stick with aggressive fish and leave little, gentle fish to reef tanks.
