Mandarin Question

Someone gave me a mandarin becasue they were moving. I put him in my tank about a week ago , and he seems fine. However, I do not hink that I have enough live rock to support him in the long run. My question: is there anything i can buy that he will eat?

good luck feeding him frozen food. most mandarins will not eat anything but pods. if he does eat mysis then count yourself very lucky

You could order pods online and start culturing them yourself. But you won't be able to keep up for a food supply so you will need to order regularly.

Your other obtion is to place a fuge on your system and populate with pods as suggested. They will be regularly released into the system so you may not have to continually purchase them. They are sepearte from the main system where they can be fruitful and mutiply . All this takes time...which you may not have.

Try frozen mysis soaked in garlic. My mandarin goes for it. (and yes I do consider myself very lucky.) But do try to get a fuge as soon as posible.
