They do not mix well. Some people have had success in keeping one of each species together in the same tank, but normally they will fight to the death. I would suggest seperating them. Not sure how you can tell a male from a female.

2 mandarins in the same tank=heavyweight championship.
or lightweight as the case may be. get one out.

Even though a colony of Mandarine dragonettes would look very cool to witness - not practical.
They do better ( if at all ) in a tank by themselves.
Sorry to burst your bubble sort of speak - but please do not keep adding these timid fish to a 90 gallon tank. As you see - fights will continue to break out and they will mostly all starve and perish.

best not to have them together.manderin and the psychedelic .amazing as they look it won't work. on the other hand having a male and female ( manderin )"might" work. males "i belive" have a higher and pointed dorsal fin. the females do not. BUT PLEASE double check that advice.

That is what I heard also about the fins being smaller. I have one of each(tall fin/short fin) but in different tanks. :D

not reccomended, its a good idea to have 1/ tank. also there are a lot of species that will fight with another fish that has a similar body shape or color. its very hard to keep a mandarin because of its eating habits and should not be put in with a fish that competes for the same food

The advice on the dorsal fin is correct. The male will have a long dorsal fin when extended, the female will not have it. I know males will fight, but not sure about the females.
