Mandarins are for established tanks only, sorry,

i would say 1 mandarin, not in a tank less than a year old and make sure you have 1 massive pod population

i have a 58 gallon its been set up for 7 months. i have had one for 2 and a half weeks. he wiped out the pods in 1 week. since the i have got him to eat live brine shrimp though. i would only suggest one.

i agree with firefish .1 in the tank they do wipe out the pods though so keep plenty on hand.they can get to be kinda plump but are a joy 2 look at good luck

I've had 1 for about 3 weeks in my 55 gal 70 lbs lr and feed live brineshrimp twice a week, already not seeing near as many pods. I'm doing a 20 gal stand alone refugium to help keep him supplied with pods.
