mandrian question

I got a mandrian goby a few weeks ago. How do I tell if it has been eating??:happyfish :notsure:

sometimes you cant. mine just swims around all day and picks at the LR. what they eat is just stuff off of the LR, so there is no way to tell for sure. Mines been fine, just see if yours is picking. Also try some live brine shrimp.

Mandarins are pod eaters and it is very difficult to get them to eat any kind of prepared foods. How many pounds of live rock do you have in your tank and how long has it been established?

My mandrian will eat brine shrimp along with whatever is on the rocks and in the gravel. If you listen closely you can hear its mouth snap closed when it eats.
