Mangrove Plants?

Hi,
Any thoughts on the benefits or not of having mangroves as part of a system?

going back to what i know of mangroves from science class, i would say they would be a good addition to the filter system. i personally dont have any experience with them but at home the mangrove trees play an important part in filtering the water for the florida bay. if you have any results i would be interested in hearing them, im thinking of doing the same thing when i set up a refrugim. hth
