mangrove question ?

if i am buying mangrove shoots, can i have the two leaves just barely under the water??? cause my tank is about 12 inches high and it said they could be 7 to 12 inches tall???? is this fine?

no, only the bottom inch or two should be under water. not the whole stalk, they will die fully submerged

only they bottom 2 inches????? ive always heard that like as long as the leaves are above water itl be fine???

That bottom picture looks about where I keep mine and they've been fine for months now.
I've read that you can bury the roots in the substrate, so only bottom inch or two sounds iffy. Maybe they do better that way, but I don't know about dying if they're more submerged.
