mangroves

Well I just got 3 mangrove pods. no roots or leaves. I planted them in the sump (30 gallon) of my 120 gallon fish only tank. When can I see some benefit? Since they are alive any hopefully will grow soon any using nutrients I may get some shortly? No?
what kinds of experiences have you had?

Hi there, I ordered some mangrove off line and when they came I didn't know what to do with them, I finally put them into our 200gal, just stuck them in the sand bed, ours didn't have any roots or leave either, they have been in there now about 4-5 months, they now have leaves and roots. Too Cool!!! Lisa
