Mantis Shrimp?

I am in my first week of SW LR and LS. Actually the LS is about 3 wks old and the LR is now 6 days. I hated al the die off but am real pleased with the appearance of the tank. The only problem is, I think I have a Mantis Shrimp. It is fast as lightning and I am unable to catch it. It is almost 2 inches long. I have a good picture of it but don't know where to post it.My local LFS is trying to sell me some kind of trap. Any ideas?

Here's the Mantis - I think. My LR was full of life including Brittle Stars, lot's of clams and crabs (most died).

I might get flamed for this advice, but I've had several of these beasts. Take the live rock out and set it in a plastic bucket with no water. After several minutes they will come out of your rock. Then you can pick up the rock and put it back in your tank, Mantis-free. I tried a variety of traps and none worked. The only other luck I've had was to skewer one with a wooden shisk-ka-bob stick. BTW, the other way, I just take them around the corner to the boat ramp and throw them back in the water. I live in Florida and they come from my aqua-cultured gulf rock anyway.

yeah thats a mantis alright. It's funny I read a post once a couple of days ago and someone used a line and a shrimp bait late at night and hooked the mantis our of the tank. Maybe that will work for you. Or you can probably get some of those expensive traps.
