I have a nano with about 5 1/2 lbs live rock. The only things residing in the nano aside from a couple crabs and snails are a red scooter blenny and (until today) a royal gramma. As I mentioned, I found the royal gramma dead today... half eaten and in the rocks.
I dug around and found about 8 of these:
They are only about a quarter inch long so they are considerable smaller than I expected them to be. Also far more numerous. The largest of them is a bit larger than 1/4 inch but I doubt it's 1/2 inch. Could something that small possible kill and consume a whole fish? And then eat half of it?
What are they? Mantis shrimp? Nothing at all?
