MARBLE STAR SHARK

Alright, I just bought a Marble Star shark, and a banded shark, I paid 120 Dollars total at my LFS, they are going to keep them for me until my tank is ready. The owner is a friend of mine. Has anybody heard of the Marble Star Shark, or has any info.... I will have pictures on Monday that I will put up. Thanks, Justin

Do you mean marbled cat shark? I've never heard of a marble star shark.

I am literally dumbfounded by the weird names of sharks you guys seem to come by...
is it just that LFS can't figure out what the hell their are carrying or what?! It's unbelievable..... Marbled Star Shark... give me a break.... that sounds like something a hippy would make up.

Actually I have seen many marbled cat sharks at lfs and on the internet. I know they stay smaller than bamboos, and are hardy.

Not rare.
Those and the coral catsharks show up pretty frequently.
The problem is that most stores have no idea what they have and everything is called a catshark so you have to be careful as to what you are buying.
