I have been wanting 1 more fish for my tank for awhile now. One of my neighbors is moving and selling off his fish. I got a 3+ inch marine betta that should work with my tank for $10 today. Is this a good price??? From what I've seen so far I would say yes. I researched it before I bought it on this site and others so i know it will work in my tank. It is currently in my QT tank for now. I got it to eat a little earlier so that is good news.

Comets (not the biggest "Marine Betta" name fan) typically sell in the $40-$60 range, so $10 is a great deal, pending he's happy and healthy fish.
As I'm sure you saw on your research, they are pretty timid and reclusive, and reside to their cave a good bit of the time. They can be a somewhat difficult to get to eat prepared foods. Don't offer live (brine or glass shrimp) if you don't have too. Watch for aggression from other tankmates.
Oh yea! And they're not groupers! (not saying you didn't know this, just pointing it out for anyone reading this, as it's a really big misconception).
