marine betta, reef safe?

I have done a little research and have conflicting views.
some say not reef safe bc it will eat small shrimp and or small fish
otherwise I have found that it si fine for a reef tank
although none say that it will bother corals

I like to buck the system at times and I've kept one for over 4 years now in my reef and no problems....Actually I don't seem him that often, but nothing ever missing or nipped on in 4 years

mine is a perfect citizen
I see him everyday and id trust him with pepermint shrimps
the only thing i cant get mine to do is eat off of a feeding stick

mine has been in the reef tank for a few years no problems either . Just a little shy
