just wondering if a marine betta would be ok for a 46 gallon reef tank? i have about 50lbs. of live rock. i want to know if he would out grow my tank...
thanks for any help!
I would think w/ that much LR it would be so long as it is a juvenile; I think adults are suppose to be kept in MIN. 75 gallon though...from what I hear they mostly will tend to be very shy; you may end up shelling out the $$$ only never to see it much except maybe at feeding time...it may over come that nature at some point maybe
I don't see a problem with it, like OYT said, they're not extremely active. In my personal experience with mine, they don't grow very fast either. If you get one, make sure it has already taken to frozen food unless you want to fight a long, stubborn battle with it Or perhaps mine is just *really* stubborn.
thanks for the replies. he is just a very small juvenile and he is so awsome looking. i traded a bunch of coral frags to my lfs and also took back my yellow tang. so i can get the betta for $30. i just want to make sure he will be ok in my tank.. i would hate to have to return him because there isnt enough room ( like i did the tang)
was also wondering if he would be ok with the corals...
thanks again for any help...
