Marine Horsehair

Does anyone know anything about marine horsehairs? I know that they are a parasite to crabs/shrimp, and that they will kill them. I have been seeing brown hairs coming out of, and around, my zoas. Since then I have lost two scarlet crabs. Any thoughts or guesses are appreciated.

vishnuborg, I posted the same message in two forums to get the experts opinion. I posted in Hitchhikers and Zoa forms b/c it was an unknown "worm" coming out of my zoas. But thanks for putting me in my place.
