I have a 125 gallon reef setup, about 6 weeks old, have 125 pounds of tunga rock cured, about 17 fish, 2 shrimps, 18 assorted snails and 10 or so different crabs, question being my Blu Hippo has what appears to be marine Ich, i cannot catch him at all, tank is to big, cant use copper based treatment because of the rock and invertibrates. So i have dropped the salinity to 1.018 and am giving vitamic c daily, soaking food with garlic extract and using this reef safe Kick Ich treatment solution. Its only been about 4 days since the treatments started but the hippo is worse then ever, and the ich has spread to my tomato fish, coral beuty, and seems like might be hitting my purple suito now! I am not sure what to do now, I am new at this , am thinking about getting a uv sterilizer to use full time till the ich has finally died off without killing the fish! I understand that the UVS, will kill the good algae but will kill the bad ich pathogens in the water also, perhaps keeping it from spreading! once under control I could cut back the UVS to maybe 1 day a week or so? Sorry for the long post, need help here people. Thanks
