Maroon Clown Acclimation & Powerheads...

Hi I got a maroon clown monday and he(or she) keeps hiding either behind the rock or behind the powerhead, it will eat but, takes forever as its afraid, is this normal?? And also what is the proper way to set up my powerhead I removed the airhose on it so theres no air bubbles or do I need to put it back on??

When I bought my Gold Striped Maroon, he stayed hid for 3-4 days, only come out to eat.(If he come out at all) But now he stays out in the open most of the day. They spend alot of time swimming in the mid to upper part of the tank.
