Maroon clown and Tomatoe clown in same tank.

I just recently got a maroon clown from a friend and I already had a smaller tomato in my 55 gallon reef setup. They haven't gone at it too badly yet. Do you think this combination will work?

These 2 clowns are territorial and aggresive towards others of the same species. I would keep a close eye on them. They normally do not get along.

Toobs, usually clowns of differant species will not get along unless its a pretty big tank. BUT, it can be done IMO(although I wouldn't do it). If they're getting along fine now, and haven't been fighting then you should be ok(a little aggression would be normal, but as long as nobody is getting seriously hurt its alright). Keeping clowns of differant species CAN be done as many will tell you they have. Hope things work out for ya. :D

I think you already feel the if-maybe-wonder-thing etc. Sometimes these kind of things do work but usually not. Good Luck. I had a Cleaner shrimp for like 7 months a real pal to me and every one in the tank world. I was building up my fish in my tank and had a small 3 strips dams, tomatoe clown with a bubble anemone, etc. The cleaner would set up his station - clean outsides and in mouths the whole deal, I added a Rock Beauty angel and the next day the cleaner was in pieces at the bottom of the tank. They were supposed to get along too. By the way, the cleaner did get the chance to jump on the Rock Beauty ride and clean - Must have scared him to much. I would like to try another cleaner but then I would start to worry like you are now. I would say you'll be ok until you feed in one place in tank or add another item into your tank to cause a point of conflict. Again good luck.
