Hi, not sure what is going on. All fish and corals looking healthy. Parameteres are
Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate all 0
PH 8.2 Alk - normal range on color test
Salinity 1.023
Tank is 7 month old. I noticed that my male (pair of maroon clowns) seems to have his back fin a little torn? separated? I don't see anyone attacking him or bothering him. Sometimes the female picks at him but never hurts him...they were my first added fish and do well. He acts completely normal? Is there anything I can do to promote his repair? I was thinking garlic soaked food for his immune system? What do you think this is from, should I be concerned? I feed a variety of foods...frozen, flakes .....

Can you post a picture of the torn fin to see if it is aggression or a disease problem. Does it regenerate?

Hi Beth, tried to take some pics, but truly hard to get a pic good enought to see, it is just on his edges of his back fin...I was watching the tank for a time today and what I think it is, is my female getting a little too hostile with him once in a while...she likes to put him in his place often..and has for a while...does not really look like disease...I will keep an eye on it...do you think the garlic would make any difference in the healing since it helps immunity? They seem perfectly happy and fine, no changes in behavior..thanks!!
